About Double Degree Option

M2M Program

M2M combines TWO master’s degrees in TWO countries and TWO Global Business Schools. Through the M2M, students study master’s degree at two leading business schools and gain both foundational business education and global perspectives from studying and living in diverse countries.

In addition to completing the coursework at each institution in which they enrolled, M2M students participate in cross-school programs that build relationships across the M2M cohort and strengthen global business skills. These programs include virtual teamwork and collaborative exercises as well as discussion of worldwide issues with experts convened by the participating schools. Students also benefit from the career resources, networks, and distinctive strengths of TWO leading business schools. They will enter the job market with key advantages over their peers.

 

HKUST – YALE Double Degree Option

The HKUST Business School and the School of Management of Yale University (SOM) established a double degree partnership for the HKUST MSc in Global Operations (HKUST MSGO) program and Yale SOM Master of Management Studies in Global Business and Society (Yale MMS) program.

Students can opt for the HKUST-Yale double degree option at the time of HKUST MSGO admissions. Successful students being admitted to both universities will spend the 1st academic year in the HKUST MSGO program and the 2nd academic year in Yale MMS program. Students are required to settle the program fees to HKUST and Yale in respective years at where they stay. Scholarships or financial aids, if any, are also independently allocated by respective schools.

Admission Requirements and Process

Admission decision to the HKUST-Yale double degree option will be decided by both the HKUST Business School and the Yale University. HKUST will share the applicants’ profile with Yale for admission purpose. Students may have to join the admission interviews respectively by both institutions. Students should fulfill the admission requirements of both the HKUST Business School and Yale University.

Applicants should also fulfill the below pre-requisite requirements either in their undergraduate studies or during the HKUST MSGO program before they start the Yale academic year. HKUST will NOT guarantee that applicants who are successfully admitted into the HKUST MSGO program can also be admitted to the Yale University. It is subject to Yale’s endorsement/ approval for students meeting the pre-requisite requirements.

Additional admission requirements for Yale MMS program:

  • Fulfill HKUST MSGO degree requirements with satisfactory academic performance
  • Course Study: complete one course related to Strategy
  • Work Experience: have full-time work or internship experience for at least 12 weeks in the same organization, at a professional level (first job level of a graduate recruit)
